Good bye West Virginia. Hello Maryland. Yes, I entered another new state. West Virginia and Maryland are very short. Tomorrow I’ll go into Pennsylvania. I’ll be there for a while.
Today I did 23 miles. It ended up being a great day. I waited until 9:00 for the ATC to open and they did have my water bottle. Hallelujah!
I wish I could have spent more time in Harpers Ferry. It’s very historic. I would like to go back there someday.
This is the bridge crossing the Potomac River.
Timber and I hiked together all day. We didn’t get started until about 10:00 because we had to get my water bottle. Engineer and his dad waited until 2:00. They let Maple Syrup catch up. So they are all at a shelter seven miles behind us tonight. They will catch Timber and I tomorrow in Waynesboro Pennsylvania.
We got lucky with the rain today. It’s 9:00pm and it’s just now starting. I hiked with dry feet today. The trail was pretty easy today compared to most days.
Here’s some photos at the original Washington Monument.
There’s only six of us tonight at this shelter. Me, Timber, Toothless, Piñata, Rash and 44. Rash and Piñata are brother and sister.
Harper’s Ferry looks fantastic and is VERY historic! So glad you had a dry day 🙂
