2017 Appalachian Hike

18 miles today. It was similar to yesterday in that there was some of everything. Difficult to very easy. 

The day started out with this. ​​Videos wouldn’t load. I’ll post them on another day.

I didn’t want to take a chance at slipping off one of the rocks. Engineer and Maple Syrup made it on the rocks without falling in. Cheese and Coyote decided to do it my way. 

Otherwise the day was uneventful. I made it to this shelter a little after 6:00. The shelter was full so we are in our tents again. We got done eating right as the rain was starting again. It looks like it will rain most of the night. Engineer, Maple Syrup, Cheese, Coyote and Devo are all here .  I don’t know the people in the shelter. 

I’m already dreading tomorrow. There’s a lot of steep rocky stuff and the rocks will be wet. I guess I will have to take Amy’s advice and go slow and careful.
