Due to no cell signal this is a day late.
Another very challenging day. I hiked 10 hours and only went 11.5 miles. Normally a 10 hour hike would be 20-25 miles.
The hike this morning it was mostly the mud that made it challenging. Nonstop deep mud. And water. At one point this is what my trail looked like.
The excessive rain has made the trails a mess.
The toughest thing was the climb up Kinsman Mountain. It was straight up rock climbing.
I was rewarded with some great views.
I’m at a shelter with a guy I’ve hiked with off and on recently. His name is Hot Tub. He’s from Des Moines. Also here is Honey Badger and Juke Box.
This is the Pond by our shelter.
I couldn’t open the pictures today. I am caught up again with all your posts. I am enjoying the journey. Take care of yourself and we will keep praying for you to be safe.
