16.9 miles today. Lots of climbing. My legs are shot.
Two milestones. Over 2000 miles done and less than 200 to go. Getting closer everyday. I’m ready to be done and be with Amy and my family.
First up Lone Mountain, then Spaulding Mountain.
Then after that, South Crocker and North Crocker Mountains.
I wasn’t planning to go to Stratton but got to the Highway about 6:00 and got a hitch to the hostel. There wasn’t anyway I was going to make it to the next shelter.
The day will start out hard again tomorrow with a climb over three peaks of the Bigelows. The weather forecast doesn’t look good for tomorrow morning. Rain in the morning.
I’m hearing it gets easier for a while after that.
Sounds very difficult, Mike but you’re almost finished. Don’t give up now. I’m sure you didn’t think it would be this difficult so you deserve a medal. And I know Amy and family will be very happy to see you. And I still miss seeing you at Hy-Vee.

Congrats on passing the 2000 mile mark. That’s quite the accomplishment. Be sure to savior the end. It is the best.
