Tomorrow

The view from our room is amazing. This picture doesn’t do it justice. Over three years ago I quietly and privately downloaded a day counter app on my iPhone. It started my countdown for my hike. Tomorrow is the day I’ve been waiting for.

As we drove the road to the lodge we are staying in at the trailhead I felt giddy. At the same time I feel a little guilty about leaving behind all the challenges and stress of the world to all of you while I escape from everything and go quasi “off the grid”.

I’ve privately poked fun at a lot of the men I’ve known who reach midlife and get a Harley. Well, I consider this my Harley.

Amy, thank you. I owe you and love you so much.
