2017 Appalachian Hike

18 miles today. Pretty uneventful. Thundering Falls was pretty neat. 

The rain moved in again today. This afternoon it rained off and on lightly. At about 4:00 I started to hear thunder. At about 4:30 the skies opened up and it poured. 

I was completely soaked by the time I arrived at our shelter. I was afraid the shelter was going to be full by the time I got there. But it wasn’t. Engineer, Coyote, Cheez and Orwell are here with me. It is still raining. 

I’m having some pretty significant pain on the back side of my knee. I followed my Aunt Ardena’s advice today. Hopefully it will feel better tomorrow. 

Last I knew there was a good chance of rain tomorrow also. We have no cell service here so I am not sure.
